BIO

Angelica London is a Chicago-based multi-hyphenate mixed media artist and creative businesswoman. A graduate of Columbia College Chicago, she has a Bachelor of Arts in Art & Design and credits her education for her interest in Mixed Media Art. A former elementary art teacher on the South Side of Chicago, she draws inspiration from the resilience of Black children and women, who often serve as subjects in her work.

Angelica has exhibited alongside notable Chicago artists and was featured at Spectrum during Art Basel Miami in 2019. That same year, she also completed a residency at the WNDR Museum in Chicago. Her live painting skills are often requested by nonprofits, and her work is housed in the headquarters of ORS Haircare and New Moms in Chicago. In 2025, Angelica was honored by the Metroboard of the Chicago Urban League and given the “Arts Innovator” award.

Angelica’s ultimate goal is to boost self-esteem in the Black community by creating positive, self-affirming imagery that highlights Black culture and global identity.

As a serial creative entrepreneur, Angelica has found success through ventures like Lit Kit Art Box, which she launched during the Pandemic to provide art kits and virtual classes. Her clientele included institutions like Northwestern Law School, Pfizer, and the University of Pittsburgh. The business evolved into a subscription box, earned MBE certification, and a trademark.
